What is a dry-contact relay?
A relay that behaves like a button, when the controller supports it.
What dry contact means
A dry-contact output switches a circuit without supplying power to it. A compatible gate controller may have an input intended for a button or relay contact.
Check the controller
Your installer must verify the equipment input, supply voltage, relay rating and supported operating mode. A gate-trigger product does not necessarily report whether the gate is open.
Add status deliberately
If you need open/closed feedback, select a separately supported sensor and compatible automation system. Do not infer status from a trigger command.
